The board of directors for Bratromvegen 7/9, a residential coop for persons with dementia in Lier, decided to build a garden for their loved ones. With a tight budget and lots of good will, director Lene Hennum managed to implement the first phase. Artist Grete Rokstad interviewed the residents about preferences and mobility while landscape architect Laurie Vestøl designed the garden. Steen & Lund AS built the constructions. We produced tool kits so that other housing associations can do similar projects. In 2021 we finished the greenhouse, reusing old windows and installing a baking oven. In 2022 we hope to experiment with rainwater together with the neighboring day care center and residential coop.
