Children around the world are spending more time indoors and in front of screens. Teachers and parents are concerned about the impact this is having on children’s wellbeing. Outdoor skills needs to be on the teaching agenda. Our island community has built an outdoor classroom for the Montessori day care center and school including a fruit orchard with 80 trees, baking oven, outdoor kitchen and seating area.
